Marseille, released in 2016, has two seasons with a total 16 episodes. Following the murder of her husband the story is about Alice confiding in a childhood lover turned cop, Richard, and going to any lenths to find her daughter. The story is about a woman named Alice Lambert who wakes up one morning, prepares her six-month old baby’s bottle and goes out for a run only to wake up two days later after getting shot. The show is based off of a novel by the same name by Harlan Coben. No Second Chance (Un Chance de Trop), released in 2015, is a French TV series with one season and six episodes. There is currently one season available on Netflix. Her condition for helping police are that she demands to talk only to her estranged son, Damien, who is now a detective. While in prison she helps police to solve current muders who are being carried out by a copycat killer.
The premise for the show is about a convicted serial killer named Jeanne Deber. The show came onto Nexflix in December, 2017. La Mante is a police detective series that takes place in Paris. In addition, you can look up words you don’t know and create vocabulary lists. The advantage to this is you can watch with French-only subtitles and see how much you understand. Note that on a desk-top these features are on the lower-right portion of your screen. The most attractive feature to watching French shows on Netflix is that you can toggle between English and French subtitles.
